Aswan University President Prof. Ahmed Ghallab declared that 19 African countries will participate in the events of the African Universities Week which will be held from 19 to 25 next October in frame of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s declaration that Aswan is the capital of African youth for 2019. The participating countries are Nigeria, Chad, Somalia, Mali, Central Africa, Benin, Republic of Malawi, Senegal, Tanzania, Niger, Republic of Uganda, Sierra Leone, Gambia, Gabon, Cameroon, Togo, Liberia, Sudan and Côte d’Ivoire.
The African Universities week will include students from 20 Egyptian Universities; the university established 5 players and tennis playgrounds in university headquarter in Sahary preparing for this week, works started in establishing a stadium of 1000 audience capacity in addition to Beach soccer playground and preparing the covered and open theatre to host artistic events of this week.
The chairman of supreme organizing committee of the African universities week of Aswan University Prof. Abd Al- Rahman Abd Al- Baset added that the students of faculty of physical education are training daily since July on the sports shows of the inauguration celebration that will be held at Aswan Stadium with participation of 2000 students.
And every Participating delegation of the African and Egyptian Universities will include 10 students participating in a number of events and activities of art and sports.
