Many faculty students participated in a visit to the Oncology Center in Aswan that was organized by the faculty under the direction of Prof. Ayman Othman, President of the University, Prof. Mohamed Abdel Hamid-Rashid, Dean of the Faculty, and Prof. Rajaa Ali Abdel Aleem, Vice Dean for Environmental Affairs and Community Service. This was done as part of the programs and activities of the environment and community service sector.
The purpose of this visit was to familiarise the students with the services offered by the center as one of the specialist medical facilities. The college team visited Dr. Mohamed Shawky Al-Mawafi, Director of the Aswan Cancer Center, during the tour, who gave an overview of the center’s key divisions and services.
Prof.Rajaa Ali Abdul Aleim stated that this visit comes in the context of the activities of the environmental affairs sector in order to aware students about the role of the medical foundations in providing community services, H.E. added that these visits aim to urge sympathy and communication spirit in students, deeming the community is one unit as following to the good directions of religions that motivate to visit patients.
After students completed the visit they presented in-kind gifts to a number of patients and wished them a speedy recovery.
