Community Caravan to Al-Amal School in Aswan

Under the patronage of Prof. Loay Nasrat, President of the University, and Prof. Ashraf Imam, Vice President for Community Service and Environment development, and under the supervision of Prof. Raja Ali Abdel-Aleem, Vice Dean of Faculty for Community Service and Environment development, and in celebration of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities on December 3rd of each year, the Faculty’s Community and Environment Service Sector organized a community caravan to Al-Amal School in Aswan. The caravan included the Department of Art Education, under the guidance of Prof. Rania Ahmed, Head of the Department of Art Education, Dr. Ferdous Abdel-Qader, Dr. Asmaa Atiqa, the Faculty’s Digital Creativity Team, and students from the Department of Art Education.

Profe. Raja Abdel-Aleem, the Faculty’s Vice Dean for Community Service, stated that this caravan aligns with the Ministry of Higher Education’s priorities and its various initiatives. These initiatives welcome qualified students with disabilities into schools, and the caravan also reflects the government’s commitment to inclusive education, psychological support, and rehabilitation for people with disabilities.

Prof. Rania Reda, Head of the Art Education Department at the Faculty, added that the department’s participation in this caravan stems from their belief in the importance of art as an effective means of fostering independence and building self-confidence. She emphasized that art provides unique avenues for communication, particularly for people with disabilities, and contributes to supporting their dreams and aspirations. Furthermore, it cultivates a spirit of collective cooperation within the community.
