In frame of directives of Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research of providing isolation places to combat Corona virus
Aswan University president Prof. Ahmed Ghallab Mohamed declared that Urology department was prepared whereas all medical requirements are provided and there are special entrances and exits with preparing (35) beds, and the medical staff have been trained On all preparations and how to deal with ventilators and prevention ways from Coronavirus.
Ghallab announced that the results of medical staff analyzes of those were in contact with the elderly woman who died after being infected with coronavirus were negative of first (9) cases, the rest of analysis result are under way, about (39) persons were in contact with her including (5) doctors, (2) workers and (31) nurses, They are staying at the university’s rest and are receiving the full care, All precautionary measures have been taken
Dr/ Mohamed Zaki Al-Dahshouri _faculty of medicine dean explained that the case died during trying to treat her inside isolation hospital.
According to that Aswan university president decided to close the reception and intensive care sections until completing sterilization and disinfection procedures Among the precautionary measures taken by the hospital to prevent the spread of Corona virus and that in coordination with major general/ Ashraf Attia _ Aswan Governor, Dr/ Ehab Hanafy_ Undersecretary of Ministry of Health in Aswan_ the new cases have been transferred to health insurance hospital temporarily until completing sterilization and disinfection procedures of university hospital.
Dr/Abdallaa Al-ebaidy_ Director General of university hospitals_ stated that samples were taken of those were in contact with the case that stayed 15 hours at hospital from nursing staff, doctors in Aswan university hospital who are 39 persons and they transferred to the rest of the university on airport way to spend incubation period for 14 day until the analysis results appear, with providing the full care by university administration.
