In frame of state efforts to combat corona virus and according to higher ministry and scientific research in applying e- learning platform, Aswan university president Prof/ Ahmed Ghallab Mohamed declared that the university center for career development is a milestone in developing and qualifying upper Egypt students to compete in labor market from its opening by Minister of higher education and scientific research Prof/ Khaled Abdel-Ghaffar _ on 16th January 2020.
The university center for career development in Aswan Al-Gadeda has become among 14 centers on level of Egyptian Universities which play its role in training and qualifying students to be involved in labor market.
Prof/ Ghallab added that the center has communicated with students electronically and presented many training and marketing courses, one of them was a training on employment skills for five days that is interactive training through Zoom application and attended by 14 students, Prof/ Ghallab witnessed the conclusion of the event (online) and discussed students in the training and taking their views in the electronic center services and their positive interaction.
Microsoft –certified computer training was conducted over 14 days for two groups of students electronically, students will perform the exam through electronic application with total of 40 students and that within university precautionary measures against coronavirus.
In addition to that the center has conducted an electronic training course on computer basics and network setup accredited by Cisco Company which included 27 students over the month (online).
Prof/ Ghallab pointed out that the university center for career development at Aswan University was established within the project of career development centers at Egyptian universities. And that with the support of American agency for international development and in cooperation with American University in Cairo which provide the technical support and training to staff of the Center in Aswan University to be qualified to present all training and workshops and professional consultations and center’s services for students after the end of the project in 2020.
