In frame of state’s efforts to improve the health system and the concern of Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in university hospitals, Prof. Ahmed Ghellab Mohamed_Aswan University President, took an inspection tour in Aswan university hospital to follows up construction works in the emergency and reception hospital at University Hospital in Aswan over an area of 1400 Square meters.
Dr. Ahmed Ghellab Ali emphasized the development works of university hospitals in Aswan to increase the absorption capacity to serve patients of Aswan and Upper Egypt governorates, which reaches to 415 beds and 300 beds at the internal medicine Hospital after its completion soon and that in light of the state’s concern in citizens health and working on providing a distinguished medical service Through university hospitals and play its role in confronting corona virus.
University President stressed the speedy completion of construction work in the emergency and reception hospital and working on preparing it so that it would be a new addition to serve patients of Aswan and Upper Egypt governorates.
Prof. Ahmed Ghellab_ Aswan University President was accompanied by Dr. Mohamed Zaki Al-Dahshori, Faculy of medicine Dean, Chairman of Board of directors of University Hospital, Dr. Ashraf Mebed, Executive Director of University Hospitals, and Dr. Mohamed Zakaria_ University’s engineering consultant, to find out what has been done with construction work.
Dr. Ashraf Mebed_ Executive Director of University Hospitals_ added that Prof. Ahmed Ghellab_Aswan University President inspected the pediatric department to check on the medical service and providing medical and therapeutic care that is provided to pediatric patients and Dr. Mebbed indicated that the department includes 10 nurseries, 5 beds and 3 capsules to treat the cases of bile.
Prof. Ahmed Ghallab also inspected the new PCR device that began work on it and the Intensive care to receive suspected cases of patients with corona virus with 18 beds and 10 respirators and a semi-industrial device to serve the suspected cases with corona virus.
