Prof.Ahmed Ghallab-Aswan University President declared Aswan University is ranked the first at the level of the Egyptian and Arabic Universities according to the International Classification of the British Times for the 2021 year for the most Arab countries that own the best global universities for the 2021 year that has been participated in the classification.
The classification of this year comes as the following:
1-The first rank is Egypt in terms of the participating universities, with 19 universities, Aswan University comes in the forefront in the universal classification and it is ranked (401).
2-The next one, the State of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is ranked second place in terms of its own 7 Saudi universities.
3-King Abdulaziz University comes in the Times classification and its global ranking ( 201).
4-Algeria comes in the 3rd place in terms of owns 7 universities, and Setif University comes in the first place at the level of Algeria Universities and its global classification (501).
5-Tunisia comes in 4th place as it owns 5 universities and the first one is Tunisia Al -Manar University and its global ranking is (1001).
6-Lebanon comes in 5th place as it owns 3 universities, and the first one is the American University in Beirut and its global ranking is (301).
7-UAE comes in 6th place as it owns 3 universities and the first one is Khalifa University and its global classification is (351).
8-Jordan comes in 7th place as it owns 2 universities and the first one is the Jordanian University for Science and Technology and its global ranking is (401).
9-Iraq comes in 8th place as it owns 2 universities and the first one is Baghdad University and its global ranking (1001).
10-Morocco comes in 9th place as it owns 2 universities and the first one is Cadi Ayyad University and its global ranking is (1001).
11- Qatar comes in 10th place as it Qatar University that is ranked the first and its global ranking is (301).
12-Oman comes in 11th place with only one university and the first university is Sultan Qaboos University and its global ranking (801).
13-Kuwait comes in 12th place with only one university in the classification and Kuwait University is the first which is ranked globally (1001).
Ghallab added, according to the International Classification of the British Times for the 2021 year as Aswan University is ranked in the 1st place at the level of the Egyptian and Arabic Universities; this is considered a good achievement for Aswan University although its recent age since its independence from the South Valley University in 2012, so it became the nascent Aswan University through several academic standards that have been standardized in this global classification.
