Prof. Ahmed Ghallab Mohamed_ Aswan University president_ declared that in frame of activating university plan for students’ activities while facing the second wave of COVID 19 with applying all precautionary and protective measures. Today sports festival events of Egyptian universities have been concluded under the slogan Sports excellence festival of the academic year 2020/2021 and during the period from 6th to 14th August 2020 which was held in university playgrounds complex in sahary.
Prof. Ahmed Ghallab_ University president _ added that this festival was held under patronage of Dr. Khaled Abdel-Ghaffar _Minister of higher Education and scientific research, Dr/ Ashraf Sobhy _Minister of Youth and sports and prof. Ahmed Ghallab Mohamed _Aswan University president, and under supervision of Ahmed Abd Rabo_ General Director of the General Administration of Sports Activity of Universities in Sports and youth ministry, Hatim Yousry Yossif _General director of youth welfare in Aswan university, Ahmed Taky Kasem_ director of sports activity department, the events of sports festival included many of sports as five-a-side football, volleyball, basketball, Darts, kayak 50 meter sprint, Recreational Sports, with participation of 432 students from 19 faculty and institute in Aswan University, at the conclusion of the festival, medals and prizes were distributed for the first three positions with total of 156 winner.
