Aswan University president Prof/ Ahmed Ghallab Mohamed witnesses the ceremony of university Centre for career development (UCCD) in Aswan University and handed over certificates for the first batch of Aswan University students who benefits from the Centre and that under patronage of Aswan University president Prof / Ahmed Ghallab Mohamed and in attendance of Prof / Magdi Mohamed Ali _Vice president for community service and environment development, Dr/ Aml Abdel-Wahed _Project manager _and a group of faculties deans and representatives of some companies and private entities.
Prof/ Ahmed Ghallab _University president _ confirmed in his speech that Aswan University was one of the first universities that participated in University Centre project in Egyptian university which is implemented in cooperation with the American university in Cairo and with support of united states agency for international development, the Centre was opened in January 2020 and in attendance of Dr/ Khaled Abdel-Ghaffar _Minister of Higher education and scientific research and President of the American University, manager of the united states agency for international development and in attendance of Maj.Gen/ Ashraf Attia _Aswan Governor _ and a group of Egyptian Universities presidents.
Prof/ Ahmed Ghallab added that the Centre is working on qualifying students to labor market through a group of practical trainings and professional development services; the Centre also works on permanent communication to connect university with labor market needs.
Prof/ Ahmed Ghallab hands over appreciation certificates to some of representatives of private sectors who cooperated through many activities which aims to students’ service including chairman of board of directors of Al-Salam Academy group and chairman of board of directors of makani restaurant, Prof/ Ahmed Ghallab _honored a group of students in the Centre for their efforts throughout the year to work in the Centre.
It is worth noting that the Centre in light of Corona virus epidemic continues in presenting its services to student in 2020 and transforming to work online, the Beneficiaries from the Centre services are 3363 students through this year.
At the end of the ceremony Students took memorial photos with Aswan University president Prof/ Ahmed Ghallab _ and the attendees.
