In order to achieve the goals and mission of the Faculty in serving the local community .. The fourth-year students of the Art Education Department dedicated this year’s graduation project to Aswan Governorate to benefit from it in the beautification, development and modernization operations witnessed by Aswan city.
This came during the meeting of Major General. Ashraf Attia – Governor of Aswan and Prof. Mohamed Abdel-Hamid Rashid, Dean of the Faculty and Prof. Iman Wagdy, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Graduate Studies and Research.
During the meeting, the Governor of Aswan expressed his appreciation and thanks to the students, Academic staff and their assistants in the Art Education Department for the wonderful effort that led to the production of this artistic product using environmental materials in design and implementation and employing them in a positive way. The Governor also expressed his aspiration to invest in the various works of the Art Education Department at the Faculty to place them in the permanent exhibition of handicrafts and environmental products that will be implemented during the coming period.
The Governor stressed that development and beautification projects are being carried out in Aswan Governorate with the continuous support of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic – to transform Aswan into a panorama and a masterpiece of beauty that matches its natural and cultural status.
Prof. Mohamed Rashed, Dean of the Faculty, stressed that this work, which has been dedicated to Aswan Governorate, reflects the promising artistic talents in the Faculty, which can be used in the artistic movement in Aswan and the pioneering projects implemented on the land of the capital of African youth, economy and culture. He also expressed his appreciation to the Governor of Aswan for granting the students participating in the production of this work shields of appreciation, which is an important factor that motivates success and excellence.
Prof. Iman Wagdy, Vice Dean of Faculty for Graduate Studies and Supervisor of the Project, added that this artwork represents a continuous effort by the students and a vision that expresses the experiences and skills they acquired during their years of study. She also expressed her happiness at dedicating this work to Aswan Governorate, a destination for visitors from all over the world.
In a generous gesture from His Excellency, Major General. Ashraf Attia, Governor of Aswan, was keen to take memorial photos with the Faculty students as an encouragement for their excellence and appreciation of their efforts.
