Master’s Thesis Defense of Researcher Souad Shabeeb

On Saturday, August 23, 2025, the academic session was held to discuss the Master’s thesis submitted by researcher Souad Mohamed Shabeeb, a music education supervisor in Luxor Governorate. The thesis was titled “Deriving Auditory Identity from Some Luxor Folk Songs and Utilizing Them in Teaching Music at the Pre-University Level.” The examining committee consisted of:

Prof. Mohamed Abdel Hamid Rashed, Professor of Arabic Music at the Faculty of Specific Education, Aswan University, as supervisor, rapporteur, and chair.

Associate Professor. Ayman Mohamed Hassan, Assistant Professor of Arabic Music at the Faculty of Specific Education, Aswan University, as a member and examiner.

Associate Professor. Abeer Rabie Ahmed Tohamy, Assistant Professor of Arabic Music in the Department of Music Education, Faculty of Specific Education, South Valley University, as a member and examiner.

At the end of the academic session, the committee recommended awarding the researcher a Master’s degree in Specific Education, specializing in Music Education, with distinction.
