Aswan University President Emphasizes the Importance of Digital Transformation for Enhancing University Performance

Prof. Loai Saad El-Deen Nasrat, Acting President of Aswan University, chaired a meeting of the Board of Directors of the Information and Communication Network Center, in the presence of Prof. Ashraf Emam – Vice President for Community Service and Environment Development, Dr. Mohamed Eid – Director of the Information and Communication Network Center, and board members Dr. Adel Fathy, Dr. Ali Mohamed Hussein, Dr. Mostafa Mohamed Abbas, and Eng. Haitham Mahmoud Eid.

The meeting discussed several key topics aimed at advancing the university’s technological infrastructure and promoting digital transformation. Plans were reviewed to prepare a specialized training hall and to hold advanced workshops for Academic staff and employees, which would contribute to developing their technical skills and enhancing institutional performance.

The discussion also covered the plan to upgrade the Information Center by equipping it with modern devices and technologies, enabling it to perform its vital role in supporting the university’s operations. Additionally, efforts to develop the e-learning unit were addressed, aiming to produce interactive electronic courses aligned with modern digital education standards, thereby improving the quality of the learning process.

Prof. Loai Saad El-Deen Nasrat emphasized that Aswan University attaches great importance to digital transformation, considering it a core element in developing university education and services. He noted that investing in technological infrastructure and building the digital capacities of employees and Academic staff is a crucial step toward creating a modern university capable of keeping pace with global developments.

The university president added that developing the Information Center and the e-learning unit contributes to enhancing performance efficiency, improving the student learning experience, and supporting the nation’s vision for digital transformation and the creation of a comprehensive knowledge-based society. He affirmed that the university will continue to provide all forms of support to modernize its digital infrastructure and achieve sustainable development goals.
