Prof. Ashraf Emam – Vice President of Aswan University for Community Service and Environment Development – expressed his appreciation for the societal role undertaken by the Faculty of Specific Education at Aswan University. This recognition comes in light of the faculty’s active participation in numerous initiatives aimed at maximizing its impact across various fields by utilizing the energies and talents of its students.
This statement was made during a meeting chaired by the Vice President, which was attended by Prof. Ragaa Ali Abdel-Aleem – Vice Dean of the Faculty for Community Service and Environment Development Affairs and Director of the Unit for Developing Artistic and Technological Capabilities, Prof. Rania Reda – Head of the Art Education Department, along with Prof. Mona Fathy, Dr. Asmaa Ateek, and Dr. Aya Youssef.
During the meeting, several key topics were discussed, including the Art Education Department’s plan to create murals on campus to enhance the university’s visual appeal with art and color. In this context, the Vice President stressed the importance of developing a strategic plan by the Environment Affairs Sector of the faculty to present ideas for beautifying and developing the university, leveraging the talents housed within the Art Education Department. This department is home to exceptional creative and artistic talents that have proven their presence within the Aswan community, under the guidance of an elite group of Academic staff.
The meeting also addressed potential training sessions and workshops that could be organized by the Training and Artistic & Technological Capacity Development Unit in cooperation with the Arab-African Foundation for Culture. Prof. Ragaa Ali Abdel-Aleem presented the unit’s proposal to implement a number of training courses, including the use of educational tools for people of determination, applications of artificial intelligence in the educational process, and entrepreneurship in home-based projects. These initiatives aim to provide distinguished services for individuals with special needs and align with the goals of the New Republic to build a digital, AI-driven, competitive society.
At the end of the meeting, Prof. Rania Reda presented a selection of artistic works from the graduation project of fourth-year students. The Vice President praised and expressed admiration for this outstanding artistic project, which reflects the promising talents of the faculty’s students.
