Under leadership of Aswan University president Prof. Ahmed Ghallab a new experience has been implemented to provide agriculture products, cultivate medical plants and oil crops.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Prof. Ghallab declared that in frame of state’s directives for increasing agricultural area and the directives of Ministry of higher education that universities should be productive, Aswan University has cultivated 50 acres on airport road with several sections to cultivate high quality Siwi palms, grapes and mangoes on 3 acres of various species of mangoes.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Prof. Ghallab added that 8 greenhouses have been planted for growing vegetables such as : ( cucumber- pepper- eggplant- okra- strawberry \u2013 cantaloupe \u2013peanuts). In addition to cultivating the jojoba tree, on which some oil industries are based for aviation engines and some cosmetic products.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Work is ongoing to complete the reclamation of the rest land in front of university in Sahari.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Dr. Yasser Abdel-Hamid _dean of faculty of Agriculture and Natural Resources indicated that there are 7 acres of land inside the campus on which some plantations are based for research experiments and that for students of post graduate studies and scientific research for academic staff.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The university was able to cultivate Al-barhi palm in Nasr El-Nuba farm on an area of 4 acres.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Dr. Mohamed Abo El-Lil_ vice dean of faculty of agriculture for environment development and community service_ pointed out that faculty of agriculture has established several research units such as \u00a0baking, dairy and oil presses units that based on the seeds of oil, aromatic and medicinal crops, the university has also redeveloped animal and poultry production farm in Enaiba which includes 6 wards for poultry production and 2 wards for animal production on 10 acres. <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
